Meet Yoshi

Yes, I know the collar is ugly–it’s the one the shelter gave him. He has a new one now!

I’ve been super busy with my new dog to write many posts lately, so I’m just going to write about him. We’re both going through an adjustment, but he’s a great dog.

He’s a three year old Pit bull Terrier mix, and I know ‘this type of dog’ is controversial to some. Hell, I used to say I’d never own one just because you never know what they can do. To quote Stephen King, “never’s the word God listens for when he needs a laugh.” It turned out that Yoshi was the best dog at the animal shelter. He scored all A’s on the behavioral tests that they gave him when they admitted him.

This breed is not inherently dangerous, it just turns out that a lot of people buy them with intentions of turning them into monsters.
