Hello World: Creative Destruction

Here’s the obligatory “Hello World” first blog post–Original, I know.

Creative Destruction, in a nutshell, is a term used in economics used to describe how new creative innovations destroy what’s come before it. For example: MP3s destroyed CDs which destroyed cassette tapes and so on.

Simple Concept: Out with the old, in with the new.

This blog is designed to (hopefully) empower myself and others to reject what people say can’t be done. By rejecting what others think of as your limitations, you destroy your former self and come back better for it–that’s the aim.

Make Impossible, ImPossible.

Criticism is a tough enemy to face. I struggle on a day to day basis. It’s hard not to be self conscious in a world where criticism comes at you with the speed that it takes someone to hit “post” on a social networking site.

I’m trying to abolish the fear of criticism from my life altogether.

How can I do this? I have no idea.

I feel like it starts with getting out of your comfort zone (i.e. start a blog, write a book, go on random adventures, take on tough challenges, etc.).

It’s hard to take that first step–it has been for me at least. But I think I’m getting there. This blog is a real representation of the challenges I struggle with in life. In the past, I’ve been the person that tries to make everything look easy–the person who tries to appear flawless. This is not that.

This is the real me.
